Sharing skills is the most sustainable way to give...
Izandla-Zethu, a holistic education program of Masifunde together with jewellery designer and
master goldsmith Michaela Römer transfers knowledge to design and create jewels, along with fundamental insights of how to start and develop a business.

Phelelani is one of the young people who is running through this integrated program, locally managed by Luvuyo Pongolo, first day member of the project.

Phelelani really loves designing jewels and working with her hands. For her, these skills - transferred from Masifunde and Izandla Zethu - are the springboard for going to Collage and prepare her for her self employment...
Two examples of the result, making a
keyring AFRICA and a necklace CLOÉ for the
Izandla Zethu stock.
Hand made jewels that create memories.

Sustainability runs through the whole process, even in the final steps. All packing materials are recycling or CO2-neutrally produced items. It's a highlight for the team to pack the hand made jewels as a preparation to send them out... this is finally what they are working for.

Every piece is hand crafted, individual and personal...
